About this deity
Lord Shiva — Mahadev — is the auspicious one, the destroyer of illusion, the meditator on Mount Kailash. Crescent moon in his matted hair, serpent at his throat, trident in his hand, he is the inner stillness behind the dance of the universe. Shiva is for those who walk a contemplative path.

Craft notes
Hand-painted enamel work in the meenakari tradition — each colour band laid into engraved channels, fired, and polished. The craft is centuries old; the technique cannot be machined. The piece is solid brass throughout — there is no plating, no hollow shell. Slight variations in finish, dimension, and weight are inherent to the handmade process and are part of the character of each piece.
Care & placement
A statement piece for a console, a bookshelf, or a pair on either side of a doorway. Dust with a soft cloth; polish occasionally.
